Discover│going out!

The Quercy Blanc is a piece of southern France that has not yet been discovered by mass tourism, on the border of the departments of Lot, Lot-et-Garonne and Tarn-et-Garonne. The limestone, to which the Quercy Blanc is named, is an ideal breeding ground for the countless vineyards of the Pays de Cahors. A beautiful green, rolling landscape with beautiful bastide villages, picturesque markets and lots of fun activities. The charming town of Cahors is the town of the region, but those who are willing to drive a little further can also get to know Toulouse, Montauban and Bergerac. Not a little too boring for children? No, not at all! We would like to draw your attention to places that are very exciting or fun for the kids!

Very kidsproof

The impressive 13th-century 'knight's castle' Château de Bonaguil, where you can climb to the very highest towers, Grotte de Lastournelles, on some days with exciting treasure hunt, Z'animoland, a friendly animal park, where the children can feed the animals themselves. There are also air cushions! At the end of the day relax on Lake Montcuq: building castles on the sandy beach, playing in the playground and enjoying the tough wipe-out

Sporty (with kids)

The landscape of the Quercy Blanc is hilly. Hiking trails have been plotted in many places. We leave Les Escaliers once a week for a 'hike'. With several families together, the kids turn out to be much more motivated! There is also a bicycle rental in the Lot valley. From here you can make fairly flat rides with the children (they also rent child seats and bicycle trailers). The river Lot is ideal for a trip with a canoe or kayak. From Les Escaliers we have set out various jogging routes. There is a riding school nearby. Guests can use the Saint-Matré tennis court. A golf course is half an hour away

Don't miss out ...

Cahors wines: there are countless wine domains that are worth visiting, Villa Cahors Malbec in Cahors is also worth a visit. We regularly take our guests to Château Tour de Miraval in Saint-Matré for a tour and tasting. On market days it buzzes in the most sleepy villages of the region. Highly recommended are the markets of Montcuq, Prayssac, Montaigu de Quercy and of course Cahors. Beautiful bastide villages dating from the Middle Ages: Tournon d'Agenais, Lauzerte, Penne d'Agenais, Montflanquin and Montpazier. Rocamadour and Saint-Cirq-Lapopie are the most touristical places of the region, breathtakingly beautiful. A wonder of nature: the very impressive Gouffre de Padirac, with gondolas you sail over an underground river.
