Agen, the capital of Lot-et-Garonne is on a 45 minutes drive. And for those of you who like a metropole with the atmosphere of Paris, you really should go to Toulouse, at 1,5 hours from Saint Matré.
Cahors
Capital of the Lot department. This town has only 20.000 inhabitants, but is has the style of a big city with the impressing Avenue Gambetta and the cathedral. Villeneuve-sur-Lot

Toulouse
After Paris, Lyon and Marseille, Toulouse is the 4th city of France. If you like the French capital, you will like Toulouse as well. Toulouse hosts many students. This gives the city its special atmosphere. Activities are all around. Culture can be found in every single street.
